I have had the cover 8 yrs and it was never really black but now it’s annoying me.
The truck is in great shape except the plastic. I have used
Cerakote. Works on trim but would cost too much to put on the hard cover
Back to Black. Should be named back to dark gray
VRP actually works on trim but not really well on the cover.
    I’ve tried a few others.
Any good suggestions? Please, I know it’s Friday so be kind

I’ve tried a few different things over the 9 years I’ve had my taco but since I tried this it’s all I’ve used.

How many applications of VRP did you use? For faded plastics, in my experience, it takes a few applications to really work into the plastic and stay on there for a deep penetration.

I wipe down my tonneau cover, and the black plastic on the bumpers and the grill with this after every wash. Keeps it looking good.

Center console divider thingy, rubber bed mat and side steps for the wife.
I use this stuff once in a while, looks good and has UV protection. $8.00 on Amazon

Looks great. I am going to give it a try. Did you wipe it down with alcohol before applying?

i use the cerakote ceramic trim stuff on all my black plastics, and it works really good, but not ure it would work as good on the oem cover. sucks that those oem covers all turn that weird greenish color
