I don’t know that plate is called but what is the torque spec on the bolts that? I googled and came up with 33 on the front which seems way too much for a bolt with a 12mm head

The skid plate/splash shield bolts? Don't know the torque, I have a calibrated wrist :p, but make sure to put a little anti-seize on those suckers.

Hand tight with the ratchet and add a 1/4 turn.

Like most bolt and screws if you don't know torque specs, and in most cases unnecessary, tighten hand tight then a little tugga for good luck. Most mechanics in the good old days never had a torque wrench and never heard of one.
