I wondered a bit about that. But in a previous life I also had a soft top Jeep TJ that was surprisingly quiet, so have a touch of hope.

A soft topper with standing room? Be still, my heart..

(Ok probably a foot or two short of the standing thing, but..)

Yeah I presumed there would be some sort of "false bedrail" that would need to be conjured up..

Well, at least I didn't have to live to see my oxen die..

Heck yeah! You really want to make sure you have all 4 clamps and that the canopy has all 4 safety straps. If you install it and see that anything is missing, we have replacement parts available on our website: https://softopper.com/products/?page=1&cat1=replacement

Our customer service team can also get you any missing parts you need if they are not listed on our website. Just give us a call at 1-800-810-7227 or email as info@softopper.com !

See post #8209 for "false bed rail" idea. Anything is possible, this version gives almost 3 inches more inside headroom.

Let us know your thoughts! I picked up a used one and have only used it once for my daughter’s nap. I’m hoping to use it more this summer.

Here's a cover that soft topper used to sell. Not sure if they still do. I never used it on my truck. It's just been stored in the garage. It's for when you fold the soft topper back. You wrap this around it and buckle it to keep it protected. 50 bucks located in Southern California. Posting it here before it goes on the marketplace

Soo many threads to keep up with. Been posting in Camping one & Alaska one. After laying in my Softopper & staring at roof, i thought Aha.. used couple zip ties & small Bungee cord to attach them to roof bars & my Exped fits perfect & stays outta way & if my stuff is wet it keeps it off everything. Last pic was right now got out last night Hope everyone getting out.

I have been trying to figure out an elegant solution to hanging my old school lawn chairs from the ceiling of my topper in a way that I can pull them out without climbing all the way in the bed. I might just have to simple and just bungee them like you did.

Was gonna use small hose clamps (couldn’t find them) these have been working. & I also just used the small diameter Bungee cord. If you need pic without mattress can do.

My dilemma was how to attach something to the topper frame that wouldn't rub and damage the topper fabric but still would hold the chairs in place when bouncing around offroad.

I was thinking of drilling a hole in the frame to attach some kind of bracket that would hold my chairs.
