I want to install some speakers in a place that would not be in my doors. Reason is I sometimes remove my doors and run tube doors. I have two 10's behind the rear passenger seat with amp.. I was thinking maybe somewhere in the dash.. looking for suggestions or places people have put speakers that are not in the doors so I can still use my stereo when doors are removed and just for more sound.

not cheap, but it at least gets them off the ground.

if not in the head liner, the only other hard-mounted option is going to be under the dash, kick panels/trans tunnel, which intrude into the foot area's, and can take on water if you're into hard offroading/water fording.

my coworker with an old willies jeep had wanted something similar for years, and finally just gave up and started using a jbl bluetooth speaker. easy to stow, gets plenty loud, and it's waterproof, so there's almost no hassle with it other than remembering to charge it.
