the beauty is, once i get her where i want her, i can periodically check the temp gauge thru my window, whilst im watching porn, uh, i mean TW, I use my thermapen roun 45 minutes,and from there, it's just seat time. aka experience
and it'z just chiggin, so there's that....

 

Brisket burgers from Smart & final. 100% best patties/burgers I've ever had. My kids are picky eaters, they tore it up. A quality patty, toasting the buns, hot and cold zone cooking. I think all are what made these burgers so delicious.

No toppings needed. Just ketchup and Dukes mayo.

 

this is my kind of weather. I went for a run at lunch yesterday, bike ride after work, my dog was piiiiiiised at the lunch run.
Plan to again today, will probably leave her inside today.

 

I stopped into Safeway this morning to grab a few things and had huge ribeye Tomahawk Steaks. I almost grabbed one but they were a bit pricey at $25/lb. A little over $60 for each steak. Maybe I’ll breakdown and get one later this week.

This thing got piping hot fast! Maiden voyage/burn in started.

I replaced my grates w/ SS instead of enameled and hoooo boy what a great choice that was. You're going to like that thing.

 

On my Akorn kamado I swapped the cast iron grates for stainless. The cast ones broke the first week I bought it. Stainless grates have been amazing so far.

 

10 years later this thing keep chugging along.
