2025 SR5 Tacoma 4x4

I have noticed a few times when folding the cover back that the emergency plastic handle could get stuck in a vertical position between the panels. If the panel folded back in this condition it would probably put a nice dent in the panel? I am careful enough to make sure it lays flat before setting the panel down, but others who use my truck might not be so careful.

Thinking maybe just removing it somehow, or maybe tape/velcro it to the underside of the cover so that this couldn't happen?
