Soccer moms don't care about 4wd. If Sequoia's weren't AWD they would never be in 4wd just like the thousands of "4WD" 4Runners that will go their entire life in 2Hi.

Yeah but they want the Limited with 4wd. Or something with the word Denali on the rear hatch.

TikTok is part of the culture whether you use it or not.

Not sure what the point is here? I am allowed to have preferences about what i see as credible. You ask what the problem was and i answered from my perspective

And I’ll tell you it’s a silly way to filter journalism. Nearly every automotive journalist is going to do tiktok content now, because it’s part of the culture

    Silly to you.

To me, “influencer, TikTok Creator, YouTube personality.. podcast about car stuff” does not established credibility. Which is what that bio is supposed to do.

    To each their own man

Last time I checked sales figures, the Frontier was in 4th Place behind the Ranger. Think you are correct that it just gets recommended alot but not many follow through with the purchase.

So why not read their work and see if they’re credible?

For the same reason i don’t swipe right on hinge if her profile shows she is heavier than my personal preference.

Forum guys when CR ranks the Tacoma as best in class:
"Damn right! Tell us something we don't know. CR really knows their stuff and is as unbiased as they come."

Forum guys when CR doesn't rank the Tacoma as best in class:
"CR doesn't know what they're talking about. Like I'm really going to believe a magazine/website that is obviously biased. They don't know anything about trucks. They're more concerned with how many cupholders a truck has!"

    :rofl::rofl:;);)

Yeah I'm not too sure why it works out that way, it's the same truck it's either good or it's not. I don't care what CR reports says other than consumers are giving their opinion maybe that translates into useable information or it doesn't. Initially quality or what ever the metric is, being compared to other new vehicles available that year.

Toyota will mention Quality, Dependability, and Reliability so when they don't show up at the top of a quality product review, that brings QDR into question.

CR should stick to washing machines and lawn mower reviews and skip truck reviews
    altogether.
Their readership might increase as it lost me 10 years ago on personal experience proving
    them 360 degrees wrong

If it included ''avid 4 wheeler, welder, mechanic, parts tester, and extreme truck camper'' and the like I'd be more likely to give her some credit. Tik Tok creator, influencer, you tube ''personality'' not so much. That is basically ''this crap is how I make money, who wants to give me the most to sell your product?"

Do a venn diagram of Tacoma buyers. Of the 192,000/yr sold, the circle with ''avid 4 wheeler, welder, mechanic, parts tester, and extreme truck camper'' is going to be really small compared to the "cupholder, infotainment, mall crawler" circle.

The Chicoms running TikTok laugh their butts off at how easily narcissistic people allow themselves to be slowly conquered.
