Got me laughing over here. Never thought I’d see that word typed out on the Internet. For reference I grew up in Pettit Caillou around a lot of coullions

Funny, spent a big part of my youth there. You may recognize some Of my family’s house then. Sure thought a hurricane would have wiped it out before I saw it covered in snow.

Actually thats Montegut and if Nutriaitch has been in his hometown in any of the past 30 yrs I pretty much guarantee he’s driven right in front of it. No doubt he and know some of the same people.

and for what it’s worth I graduated from USL so I know your territory pretty well too.

I'm a USL Grad also, in fact I took both the Tacoma and the Jeep and went play in the snow behind Blackham Coliseum. I'll take some screen captures of the videos :)

I’m familiar with the word Cajun, but otherwise this thread is incomprehensible to me. Even google can’t help me with “hub city”. :)

Up here in twin cities (minneapolis/st Paul) today we finally got a snow storm big enough to motivate me to do figure eights in a parking lot. We have maybe an inch or two and it’s still coming down slowly. It’s the perfect temp to make great snow: 20F. It’s slippery but not too slippery and it’s predictable. It’s been a cold, dry, and boring winter until now.

Lafayette is in the middle of the state, also where the 2 main interstates cross. Up until the 1980's the city was the "Hub" of the oil industry. Now it's know more as a "Hub" of Information Technology and Computer Science.

The nickname has to do with the geological location and it was the location of all the major oil companies headquarters for a long time. :)
