2020 Tacoma Off-Road Long Bed

Does anyone have a Kenwood head unit and been able to hook up their phone via the HDMI port?

I recently put in an HDMI cord and converted to USB-C to try and put on movies for my passengers while we’re on road trips but I can’t figure it out.

I beleive I did that a long time ago, but it was through the usb port and I think I needed a kenwood app on my phone to make it work. Sorry it was so long ago, I hardly remember even doing it. If it helps, I beleive my head unit is a ddx575bt.
