Bunch of those sculptures around, just need to find them. Easy to find and easy trails (dirt road)

 

Went out to the Owyhees again, did a 5 out of 10 trail on OnX. I’d say the trail rating was pretty accurate on this one. The Taco handled the trail proudly and kept up with my buddies stock Rubicon with no problem. I did a lot of teetering and tire lifting on this trail. There were a few sketchy spots where rock sliders would have made me feel more comfortable, I’ll probably get some at some point. I wish I took more photos but I was enjoying the trail to much. My new Rubitreks did well also, I aired down to 15 which wasn’t enough. Maybe next time I’ll ditch the sway bar and air down to 12 psi or so.

 

Spent the weekend camping north of Flagstaff. Many of the forest roads leading to/through the ‘precious areas’ are closed off right now in the extreme summer heat to mitigate wildfires, so I was out doing some recon in other locations.

I did indeed. I’m up that way most summer weekends avoiding the 115° Phoenix heat, so I’m super familiar. Just found a few random trails & camp spots to which I’d never given attention. The 55° overnighters @ 9000ft are always welcome.
