Hey thanks for that. So I checked and the manifold pulls 18-20 lbs and the tacoma booster requires min 18. I did a test and it is pulling 20. So I actually bled the breaks and found a little air which I did not expect and now they are still a little spongy but working pretty close to original. I did however have a guy who does axle swaps all the time put me on to a larger master break cylinder that is for a chevy that can be installed with minor mod. He said this completely fixed his problem. I will drive it for a week and see if my breaks stay stable from the bleed and let you know. Also if I end up switching the master cylinder over I will also report back and let you all know how that goes.

Thanks every one. I will continue to report back to this post as I drive the truck and add my axles.

I did do a long drive up the gorge today to test it out on flats and hills and it did amazing. 460hp under the hood of a tacoma really gets it going. Ill also continue to post videos here as I get them.

Closer look at the doors. Embossed logo.

Drove the truck all day. Breaks seem great and the chevy 350 is putting out tons of torque. Still grabbed a chevy master cylinder in case I decide to swap it out at some point. Ill keep this thread updated as long as im adding mods to this truck.

Not at all sir. I have completely separated the msd ignition power and isolated the chevy build to its own power.

    Thanks for the question.

I see you are in Oregon, are you in an area that is subject to DEQ testing? If so, would this configuration pass DEQ?

I am not in DEQ area. I live in the country on purpose. Just because it is a 2016 tacoma this would never pass DEQ. Even if you did cats the emissions will never be good enough. But im all about being free. One good thing about Oregon is that they do not check for cats.

Who needs brakes? The throttle will get you out of more situations than the brakes will.

This is awesome, you get a bunch of nerds making posts about v8 swaps, and auto to manual, 4x2 to 4x4 etc and everybody argues for days on the semantics... Same people arguing about what brand oil is the best.

Then this guy shows up and already has all the work done for his v8 swap and his first few posts ever are just asking about some minor brake issues. Badass dude.

I am curious why you did the swap. Was it something on a whim, did the engine or transmission pack it in, or something else?

Were you able to keep the A/C fully operational? Also, what about OBD2?

As for Oregon yes sir. Im rolling this bad boy around breaking in this new engine. It's crazy bad ass. A lot of hard work well worth it.

As for AC yes I could maintain the AC if I wanted but im a heat lover and though the extra horse power without AC isn't much I still prefer the power.

Thanks for all the killer posts all and if any one has questions im happy to answere.

Haahaa I just pull up at a red lights and blow their minds. Once the engine is fully broke in ill see what it can do. I need to keep it under 4k for 1000 miles. It's headers to strait pipes so every where I go heads are turning.

Projects I want to accomplish will be the dana 60 swap and tig weld some really nice stainless headers and exhaust. Thinking some nice pie cut headers would look cool when I open the hood.
