I got a reply from the owner, Ravi… he asked me a few questions then went radio silent. Tried emailing him twice more and nothing. Bummer.

Where did you buy that little drain valve for your aluminum radiator?

About 3k miles ago I did a full cooling system refresh
OEM-Water pump, fan clutch, fan and thermostat
Mishimoto aluminum radiator and silicone hoses.
The packaging was top quality like someone’s photo of the CFS, it came with weatherstripping and fit perfectly.
I know there is a lot of people who dislike mishi.
Honestly had I done some more research I would have gone with CFS just to be safe but no complaints yet.
Costed me ~550 and I am yet to see over 188 coolant temp. I sit around 183-185 during normal summer driving.

The silicone hoses on the other hand  … biggest waste of money. They were incredibly firm and near impossible to get around the thermostat and male fittings on the radiator.
Just get OEM, silicone is a huge waste of money to replace hoses that last 150k miles from the factory.
Not that any of y’all need to be told, I’m just ranting
    150 bucks isn’t worth the “bro factor”:censored:

Thanks for the info & feedback on your experience. I’m leaning towards the CSF. It’s just hard to bite that $500 bullet.

It’s called a petcock. Available at any auto parts store. Although that one is nicer than most.

I know, an odd choice of a name.
