Did you ever try any of the training simulators? Always wondered if those were worth the cost.

They are, crashing is completely free. What's difficult is taking it seriously, there are parameters that need to be set, like wind speed, expo, etc, to make it more life like. I had a transmitter that was set-up just for the stimulator and another for flying the real thing.

So the C2X is getting a little... tired?

Not sure how to describe it. It used to "feel" very light on its feet, quick to respond to throttle inputs and easy to control. New transmitter batteries and truck battery fully charged, it now doesn't want to react all that quickly, so I end up having to use a lot more throttle, which in turn makes it jumpy.

Yes I've added heavier wheel/tires over time but this has only started to happen over the last few weeks. Could it be something like the motor weakening over time?

Curious to everyone's thoughts before I go disassembling things

The motor definitely weakens over time and will need to be replaced. Even stock motors get tired and go bad.

Got my son the long arm lift kit for his Bronco for his bday and will be installing these 2.2's. They are so much bigger than I expected lol.

Any reputable sources for DJI drones other than Amazon lately? With tariffs in effect DJI has stopped shipping imports to the US and inventory is pretty much gone.

I see some on eBay that are in South Korea, but I'd like to avoid paying double or triple the price with tariffs and import fees.

I'm looking for a DJI Avata 2 fly more combo or Air 3S fly more combo. :fingerscrossed:

Here's a brand new Jconcepts Warlord that will be ready tomorrow. It's just waiting for the accent line to be painted. $75 with clear windows and $85 with tinted windows.

Doesn't answer your question but I've noticed DJI products in general going well over MSRP. I was checking out several of their offerings (cameras) and most items are either sold out, or marked up by a lot.

There's a handful of DJI drones left on eBay from a seller in South Korea. The prices are in USD, are the same as DJI's website and they're offering free shipping to the US, which is amazing actually. From what I gather on Google tariffs on imports from South Korea won't affect the price until August 1st, 2025, but eBay states there may be "customs processing and additional charges" but doesn't specify what those might be.

I'm not sure how accurate that is. I'm okay with a couple hundred or something like that. I just don't want to get stuck with a $1000 fee or some nonsense like that. I'm trying to find a little more info before I place an order.

I'm also wondering if buying a DJI from another country effects the ability to get warranty through DJI in the US?

Went to change the motor on the C2X. It looks like the original leads are in some kind of resin? How the hell do I get these out to swap in the new motor???

There is no disconnect between the motor and the ESC? If not now is a good time to add one yourself.

Both of my trucks just use bullet connectors to do this so I would just splice some bullets in.
