Man, if these parts spread west to east I'm hosed. New England. And both toyota and NHTSA still say remedy not available. Though oddly yesterday morning I was tracking some odd results coming and going. Then it settled into this new little contradiction. Text on the toyota recall website after putting in my VIN says "One or more recall items are ready for repair. Please click the Find A Dealer button below to schedule your service at a dealer near you." But there's no Find A Dealer button. And the actual link below for more information still says Remedy Not Available. It's been like that since yesterday morning.

Hmm, not sure. It was pretty quick to get the ball rolling, and there was 0 notice lol, just a random phone call saying they've got the part and it will be ready tomorrow!

@kona2chris, if I remember correctly you also are in British Columbia and are waiting for the brake line fix? Any news on your end?

I went in for the reprogram rear blindspot sensors recall and asked about the Brake line recall i got a notice for months ago. They said there is still no fix for it. An 8 year old could bend brake lines what is their problem?

My guess, and only a guess. Has to do either with challenge of sourcing enough parts to distribute cost effectively in light of current tumultuous and fluctuating economic factors, or they spent time on one solution and ran into logistical glitches and had to go back to the drawing board.

And seeing the fix they're actually using, I would really have preferred they use a tighter line with bent steel lines instead of flexible. My 2011 only recently had its first steel line replaced and it lives in the salty winters of new England.

How long ago did you ask them for an update? Most recent dealer supplied estimate posted in this thread was July, and that seems to be what's now just starting to roll out at least in BC. We'll see when it makes it south of the border.

For those waiting on the fix, how often do you check your brake lines and have you ever seen a build up of mud on them.

My dealer texted last week saying they expected the fix in this week so it shouldn’t be too long after that. I was going to check in with them after the July 1st long weekend. (Tomorrow)
