This trip has been an awesome experience and one of the bonuses the photographer Josh works for TU. Josh was there doing a documentary on Emma my guide because of her work with kids and she’s just an all around amazing person. And as a sideline Josh was asked to get some shots for the magazine. It turns out they have been using the same underwater release of a brook trout for years. So we worked on getting one and he also caught several takes of a dry. I had one that a Brooke trout came out to his eyes and took the dry. I asked Josh if he got it and he said he did so I will probably have a part in some fresh pictures in the TU magazine. But only Josh will know where they came from this trip is going to be hard to beat. He is going to email me some pictures when he gets back from another assignment I can’t wait to see what a professional shot looks like. IMG_4643.jpg

    Good morning, mid-lifers!

Thank you for sharing the trip with everyone. Safe travels on your return trip.

( you still have time to drive to Gunnison, a few miles west go south on 149 to Lake City, pick up the Alpine Loop and get the money shot of the summit sign on Engineer Pass).:D

I would highly recommend it beautiful scenery amazing people and then there’s the road 38 miles of dirt road and 8 or 10 of it you have to be careful on.

Thank you. I found that thread yesterday. His choice of using the rain gutter guard screen, rather than the lighter gauge metal 1/4" hardware cloth inspired me to get that exact same gutter guard at my Lowes. His is a 2nd Gen, I believe, and the way my 3rd Gen cowl is made, you have no choice but to remove the wiper arms and then completely remove the cowl. But otherwise, spot on!
