Frame Swap Pics

    Few years ago, I assisted my uncle in doing a frame swap on my cousins DCLB Tacoma. I think his truck is about a 2007 base trim 4x4 v6. His frame was very rotted from New England winters. He sourced a brand new frame for a 2015 from a body shop that had ordered it and never used it. The frames are in fact interchangeable from 2005-2015 with very slight differences including the rear exhaust hanger being 90* out of rotation and the spare tire winch having a different bolt pattern.
    New Bilstein 5100 fitted all around, new lower control arms, Steering rack replaced IIRC, and thats about all. You can see the severe delamination on the frame double layer sections from rust.

    I like these photo collections even if I don't have any user for them right now. These fora are a great archive for the future.
