Had my 2007 in for a State Inspection, rear left shock was leaking. I had a pair on the back seat and had them do the job. They charged me $226.88 for labor, I'm not sure this was a fair price. Does anyone know the book time for this job?

I don’t know the book time, but it took them less than 30 minutes to replace them.

It’s kind of the price you pay when you don’t have your own tools, or ability to do it yourself.

If you do have the ability and access to tools, you could watch a YouTube video and save a couple hundred dollars.

For rust level typical of an 18 year old truck? Two hours of labor seems excessive for torching off two shocks. Don't know about book time though.

Mitchell shows about an hour for both rears.

Depends what the labor rate is in your area though, they vary alot from area to area.
