I noticed I need to add a couple of degrees of positive camber to the front after finding wear on the inside edge of some new tires. A mechanic showed me the adjusters on the lower control arm but didn't want to do the work because he didn't have an alignment rack. He said to hold the nut still while turning the bolt head to loosen everything. Then use the nut to make the camber adjustment.

Is that correct? Seems like one cam would be attached to the bolt head and one to the nut, so both would need to be turned equal amounts.
