So I just got off the phone with Warp 9. I ordered the rear rim on 5/24 and was told on 6/4 that it was 2-3 weeks out being anodized. They missed it coming back, so it's been sitting in their shop for a week or two. The guy said he's shipping it out today. One time when me being lazy wasn't a bad thing. I'd be super pissed if the rim was all I was waiting for(still nee rotor, sprocket, and spokes)

I figured it was because of how I used my truck, so having it happen twice figured it might fall under abuse. But my mechanic says he has never seen bolts back out like this other than on hardcore offroad rigs, and even that was insanely rare, and I usually take the word of the dude that's run his shop for years and won the King of Hammers (2022).

I just want it running again so I can go camping... May 3rd was the date I had my sister come rescue me with my own trailer. Tomorrow will be 2 full months without my Tacoma.

Once I figured out proper form, lifting my bike was a LOT easier. Pretty sure lifting incorrectly the first time I tipped my bike over was part of the reason I ended up getting double hernia surgery in October, hahaha.

We have decided we will be placing our F450 order on or around October 1st. And that'll take 6 months+ to get most likely. So yes to new truck... but still doesn't help me now, hahaha.

I'm a little late to the party but I second this. San Juan is the biggest island with a little more road to ride, the only one with a circuitous route around the island and around half is on the water with worthwhile views. Plus you can check out American and English camps and learn about the Pig War if you are interested in odd history.

My wife and I did the 4th of July up there years ago and rented mopeds to do the whole loop. A real motorcycle would be more fun though. The trip down from Roche Harbor back to Friday Harbor is mostly just interior highway and 10-12 miles with it pegged at 35mph got a little old.

I have been making it a point to filter when practical. One of the main arguments behind why they didn't pass the law a couple years ago, even in the face of plenty of safety data to support, was that "people aren't used to it". The only way to change that is to just start doing it, illegal or not. So far I have been honked at once or twice but that's it. Apparently in 2023, WSP only wrote 2 tickets in the whole state for lane splitting violations as well.

Jocelin Snow is like 4'11" and maybe 100 lbs. And she picks up BMW 1250 GS-es. You'd be fine with a T7 so long as you aren't disabled.

Good morning riders yesterday's ride in was a little sketchy. It rained hard Tues night and then a light shower yesterday morning, which left the Rd moist with gravel and I could really see the oil, what I'm guessing was from a truck that was leaking.
The ride home was a totally different story dry and good.
    Riding again today.
Y'all have a great 4th of July weekend.

had an odd encounter yesterday?? i was on the highway in the fast lane with my cruise set at 80mph just minding my own business, i saw a car up ahead (about 3-4 car lengths away ish prob further i dont remember?) that was slower so i slowed down to match his speed at about a car length or two behind him. we kept going 60mph for awhile, i eventually got curious and was wondering why we were going so slow? so i went to the left side of the lane (someone was to my right and didnt wanna spook them) to look around the car infront of me. i saw nobody was there and the car was left lane camping like oh boy... upload_2025-7-3_6-54-45.png
(little box is me, medium box is car and big box is well the truck lol.) just a picture to show the roadway)

I'm stuck here for a bit i guess! as i was about to move back to my right the car in front slammed on his brakes and swerved into the shoulder and then back into the lane and hit his brakes even more! i saw it and slowed down but it closed the gap a lot and we went down to 40-45mph the car behind me about hit me but thankfully didnt... well during this altercation there was a semi truck with a dump trailer hauling sand (fyi ow! sand blaster for like 5ish mins suuucks) the driver saw this altercation idk if the dude rides or not? not saying what he did was right since i was still behind both of them! the truck driver waited for the car to get next to him and then he swerved at the car and pointed at the car and then at me and shook his finger no like to a child. like thanks? I'm still back here! and that was also rather sketchy without having a way to escape! as i passed the truck he gave me a wave like i got you. sooo ya that was my altercation yesterday that was really odd and a bit sketchy...

other then that it was a nice ride home.

was a nice ride in today as well the sunrise was awesome!upload_2025-7-3_6-56-21.jpg

Mine supposed to show up today. Front on Saturday.
Process to change them about 7 days, (curing time for the adhesive to seal the spokes) so might wait for some crap weather to start. 7 days without riding makes one weak. :anonymous:

Yikes. That's a lot of sketch in a short period of time! Glad all ended up ok.

On the subject of spoke sealing, I ran across a few posts where Shoe Goo was used with good results, faster cure time of 24 hours. Thoughts on that?

Sheesh, glad you're okay man....can't stand people who wanna police the roads themselves. Stories like this make me so thankful lane splitting is legal here in CA. I would have lane split past the camper as soon as safely possible.

Yaaa thankfully everything was fine but was off and sketch.

I have lane split a few times even thou its not legal but I try not to since people as you stated it like to police or be assholes so not worth it to risk it.
