Hi all, I am a new member, but I have been searching this forum since 2021. I have found lots of useful information here!

I have a '21 TRD Sport with a Truxedo Lo-Pro tonneau. I am trading it for a new '25 TRD Sport, which I should have by early next week. I am experiencing paralysis by analysis while I search for a new cover. I do not want another soft cover with velcro edges that need to be adjusted after rolling the cover closed. I also want a cover that allows me to open and close the tailgate without opening the cover (mine requires that).

I have considered hard tri-folds that cover the rear window, but I really don't want to cover the camera up there. Hard tri-folds that leave 1/3 of the bed closed don't appeal.

This leads me to the Rough Country Hard Roll-Up. The RC is about 40% less expensive than BAK and Truxedo Roll-Ups. After watching install videos, it looks like the main difference is the RC does not have a system that locks each slat to the rail. It looks like the others have that feature. Plus, the Truxedo still has velcro.

So, here are my questions: Does anyone have real-world experience with the RC Hard Roll-Up on a 2024 or 2025? Do you think the locking of individual slats merits a 40% increase? Any reason to avoid Rough Country altogether?

    Thanks in advance.
