Anyone do the exhaust manifold swap to a 2001 exhaust header?

I have a head gasket job to do and i figured I would sway out the cracked, broken exhaust header on my 98 to the bent tube exhaust header that came on the 01-04. My truck is a non-CA truck, so wondering about compatibility with ECU, etc. How many O2 sensors do the 01 have?

Planning on posting pics of the head gasket job, so any help with this question would be much appreciated.

I swapped mine (1995) about 3 years ago. Direct swap, but you will probably want the heat shield from the newer manifold/header. Mine did not include the heat shield, but for $65 from a Toyota-only wrecking yard, I wasn't complaining.

As mentioned, direct swap, the O2 sensors are in the exhaust pipe, and not in the header. It bolts to the stock exhaust pipe so no additional sensors, no custom pipe, no adapters. Bolt-in.

Mine IS a California truck, and it has passed the biennial smog inspection twice since the swap. No issues, no trouble codes.

I had planned on adapting the old heat shield, but it's been fine so far.

I did this on my '99. Like mentioned, it is a direct swap super simple. Did it as part of a total exhaust replacement using the OEM header and Walker everything else. I did put a new OEM heat shield on it too.
