    Edit:

Fixed, Trail Grid Pro failed to flash the maestro unit, and some of the crimps in the harness were less than stellar, recrimp, reflash and good to go.

    Original:

I purchased the 2nd gen bundle from Trail Grid Pro - https://trailgridpro.com/products/sony-8500-plug-play-bundle-12-15-tacoma

Once everything is hooked up, the red light on the Maestro RR turns on, but the sony unit does not power on at all, at least nothing on the display is shown.

Looking for any help in debugging this issue while I wait on trail grid pro to respond. I've got a multimeter and know how to use it, but im completely unfamiliar with the wiring for the head unit.

    Any advice is appreciated

Maestro was blinking code for no firwmare, confirmed no firmware via flashing utility, reflashed.

Still no life in head unit and now flashing data link error code

Checked data and obd2 wires with multimeter, pin to pin connectivity is there, reseated them, no life on head unit, flashing data link error code

checked pwr, and acc at the plug to the head unit, 13-14v, but no power on head unit.

This is where i sit now.
