Driveshaft Reassembly - Alignment

    I picked up a spare driveshaft awhile back, but the prior owner had separated it and didn't mark which way the two shafts are supposed to be aligned. Both have the factory balancing weights on only one side. Does the alignment of the two shafts relative to one another actually matter?
