    I didn't know about that capability...perhaps it was added after my unit was manufactured. I honestly can't think of a situation where I needed screen mirroring. Are you trying to do something special with your CarPlay unit? Good luck and if you get it to work...please post here. Thanks...

    I believe it’s the same for all Hamilton systems but this is how it works for me. The audio for CarPlay comes through the factory AUX audio. If you are listening to standard FM radio the CarPlay audio (navigation and phone) won’t automatically switch. You will have to manually switch audio AUX when a phone call comes in or you are making a call.

    That is true...that's why I got the Tunein Radio app that works with CarPlay so I don't have that issue any more. Thanks for taking the time to lay it all out.

    I like the idea, but for that price you're in used Entune 3.0 and aftermarket territory.

    Aftermarket and an Entune 3.0 upgrade are both options, but probably more expensive than the Hamilton unit. Plus...I really like to keep the OEM look of my Tacoma.
