Hey everyone - I really like the outgear solutions high clearance rear bumper, however it says it’s not tow rated. Has anyone here towed using the bumper? If so, how much. TIA!

I have not towed with the bumper. I can tell you that it mounts to the frame using the exact same mounting points as the stock bumper. So in the case of mounting strength, it's exactly the same. I'm also not sure if any other manufacture states on their sites specifically if bumpers they sell are rated for towing.

I haven’t seen any of the aftermarket bumpers advertised as rated for towing. That puts a lot of liability potential on the company selling them. As posted above they mount the same way as the factory bumpers and if the weld and metal quality is good it shouldn’t be an issue. I towed thousands of miles with a Pelfreybilt bumper.

Appreciate the insight, this is actually my first truck so I wasn’t aware of that. I don’t do any serious towing, just an open trailer and a motorcycle maybe 2-3x per year. Just didn’t want to lose that ability!

Suspension, lockers, regear, front bumper, rear bumper, rock sliders, cold air intake, light bars, more lights, decked drawers and sooo much more.
I tow with mine all the time, no issues at all!
I’ve had it for a few years now and I tow a 10 ft trailer, often times full to the brim with lumber. I personally feel like they say that for liability reasons, but maybe i just got lucky. Lol
