    Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. I spent my time attempting my first wheel swap.

    I succumbed and bought the big Land Cruiser 300 in GR Sport trim for the wheel swap.

    It could use a leveling kit, but I'm happy with the result. By some miracle, the resin wheels I purchased fit the factory axles, and are only a smidge wider.

    The same can't be said for my first attempt on this FL5. I ended up breaking one of the new wheels, and having to clip off the two of stock wheels. Adding insult to injury, I trimmed the one of the axles too short... after gluing one of the wheels on.

    It's currently on three wheels. I'm debating whether or not to find another set of wheels and axles and redo this project.

    Find some cheap brass tube at hobby lobby. You can cut it to size and slide your “short” axles in with a bit of model glue. You may need to make a wider channel.
    Posted this pic before… did this for kilocharlies fire truck, probably do this for 70% of my wheel swaps
