The MSRP on the Monroney is the MSRP until it is sold.

How is Toyota going to increase the price of existing 25 inventory if the Monroney is all ready on the truck?

Maybe they won't do that and only applies to inbound trucks.

I thought I read that from the prees room release about 25s in inventory.

They won’t. Price increase applies to new production and is already showing on Toyota.com. Looks like $400 on a hybrid Off-road.

That's how I think it would work. I specifically read somewhere that all un sold 25s would get the increase. Where I read that IDK? and it could have been bad information.

    Edit
    Maybe it was this
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/aut...ces-jump-2-095-tacoma-sequoia-too/ar-AA1HUyNZ

Which says vehicles scheduled for processing. Trucks on the lot are already processed wouldn't be included in the price hike.

Yeah that would translate to no increase on in stock trucks.

I'd say those Tundra engines are quite pricey too.

Sorry guys, official sales data doesn't mean anything. Someone saw a lot of trucks on a dealer's lot. Pack it in. not selling.

Not selling as well as the 3rd gen, you couldn't even find one on the lot for about three years.

    Huh?

November 2024 through May 2025 monthly 4th gen sales exceeded 3rd gen sales for same months in 2022 and 2023.

In quarterly sales, 24Q4 4th gen sales were only exceeded by 2020 Q4, all other 3rd gen Q4 sales were lower. Similarly 25Q1 4th gen sales exceeded every Q1 of 3rd gen sales except 21Q1.

So please explain once again how the 4th gens aren't selling as well as 3rd gens?

Good time to be buying a Tacoma. Online markdowns on OR/Sport hybrids, and THs at my local dealer are $4000-4500 and thats just a starting point, IMO.

I find those numbers increadable given the huge price increases. Lots of people have money to spend.

I was surprised at how many Lexus GX 550’s they sold. The dealers here trick them out with fat tires and Vossen wheels then slap a $30k markup on it, bringing the GX to six figures. They are still selling like hot cakes but it appears to be slowing down some.

Was there all these sales comparisons (and backbiting) between 2nd and 3rd gen owners? We are all on the same team, truck wise, LOL. Fourth gen selling just fine this year and no reason it wont continue.

As one who bought my 2017 3rd gen in late 2016, yes I remember plenty of 1st and 2nd gen owners putting down various aspects of the 3rd gen trucks.

I waited 18 months into that launch but it wasn’t enough. I could have put up with my 2017 but I decided not to. The cruise control and transmission wasn’t fun. Loved the Inferno color though. If Inferno comes out again, I’ll buy it again.

Yeah, I get it. My 2002 4Runner was about done though and I was more needing a pickup than an SUV then.

Couple of updates and it’s been okay. Still screams unnecessarily on cruise with certain hills. But overall it’s been good and reliable for 100k miles so far. Only actual repair was the tailgate power lock - but a quick disassemble / clean / lube sorted it out with no parts needed.

that’s what I did. Wanted some of the issues and recalls to get resolved. Only down side is I’m STILL waiting 5 weeks after putting a deposit down. Been in “transit” for 5 weeks!?

A few dealers around here have numerous ones in all packages on the lot. My Dealership I used has over 40 in stock including a Pro just sitting. My friend is the owner and he says its believed the 4cyl and prices are driving people away. I'm hoping for the V6 to return as I hear the Tundra is getting the V8 back.
