Back at it with all of my appendages intact fortunately. BIL had a big buck on camera this weekend, until a Florida panther rang it's neck. He gone.

More like “we should help them they’re family” when they’ve never worked a day in their life and only contact us if they need something, they’re relatives, not family

Nah, gotta put money back in my savings. Took a chunk out to buy my WRX as I can't control myself and had a mid-life crisis at 35

A stop at HF provided a new engine, $212.
The original was 140 cc the new 173 cc so a 23% increase in displacement.
    :smokertransformer:

    20250707_131909.jpg

The original engine was a full throttle or off job (what a dumb idea) the new one has a traditional throttle, fortunately I had a lever & cable kit in the archives.

    20250707_150922.jpg

This is the part I used.

    20250707_150942.jpg

There were 2 holes to tap, it was in aluminum and the holes were already drilled so only 5 minutes work.

Everything else fit just like the original, add oil & gas, 2 pumps of the primer and an easy pull and vroom!

The engine is quite quiet and the mower cuts perfectly. The power propelled is actually faster than I can comfortably walk with the engine wound up.

That is , or :pout: I'm not sure which.

$280 & 2 hours easy work for a brand new mower.

    20250707_150915.jpg

Score one for the good guys! :)

    Reserected from the dead.
It will fit. Just might have to adapt the wire harness.

Check the crank shaft length to the HF equivalent. I bet they similar.
