Turned the truck into a shit box today.

13 bags of shit to be exact (plus 6 bags of top soil and 4 bags of mulch). Was a nice smooth ride home with the extra weight on the suspension.

 

Changed my oil and sent off another sample to Blackstone. Right after that we went for a 1500 mile round trip over the river and threw the woods to @Kwikvette 's house.

Just a quick stop in the Inyo National Forest before heading towards Yosemite.

Spotted two decent herds of deer out in the meadow so our arrival time got pushed back just a little. Never thought I'd shoot a deer in Yosemite but apparently it's completely acceptable as long as you're using a camera

The mosquitoes were aggressive our there for sure.

We'll have to hit up Shaver Lake next time you guys are out here again.

 

We'll make it a plan, but it may be a while before we're out that way.

And somewhat related news I got my 4th oil analysis back a few days ago. It's not great

Good thing I don't leave on another 1500 mine trip in about a week...

Oh by the way we're going an another 1500 mile trip but this time we're heading the other direction.

Before we leave I have something cool coming tomorrow, I've never touched my rear brakes in this truck because they haven't needed it but tomorrow something will change and hopefully I'll have a functioning E Brake again.

Now my truck has 3 different prototypes from 3 different companies. This one is definitely the biggest, heaviest, and possibly the coolest but also the hottest at the same time

 

I think it's safe to say my ABS no longer works

I had a feeling the newer ABS sensors wouldn't play well.

The E brake was dragging on our initial test drive so the rotors got nice and hot but luckily didn't seem to warp.

We will be doing a handful of controlled stopping tests in a few weeks to compare the distances from before and after the disk swap. The kit for the conversation will be available to purchase through a Toyota dealership in AZ sometime in November if everything goes to plan and they will be releasing all the info at SEMA this year.

Hopefully we can get the ABS figure out because I'm sure that will impact the stopping distance
