    My guy Glenn at Headworks of Nashville is about the best in the business and was one of the 1st to weld aluminum heads, been using him for over 30 years...

    Shes all back together, runs well. What a job. Those shims were way out of spec in burnt cylinder and the new rebuilt one. Had to buy about 5 from Toyota. This time i inspected the clearances and went by the Yota tech manual as much as possible. cleaned all the gunk in the upper cyl walls and piston tops too. The VVT gear was stuck even w the 15psi in oil hole and took some rotating force to break free.

    I left the left head alone since those compression numbers were good.
