Very nice! I’ve heard only good things about the RT Trails. How many miles did you get out of the K02s? I’m considering the K03’s as my next tire.

Thatll look awesome. I have been thoroughly impressed by my skinnies. Im really not sure I want to go with 35s but if I did it would 100% be 255 85 17 or 35 10.5 17

I put the KO2s on 3/2024 at around 35,700 miles. The GX only has 39,700 on it at this writing. I WFH and drive press cars a lot so mileage on the GX is pretty minimal. The KO2s have shown very, very little wear (as they should given the mileage) but I do think the Toyo Open Country A/T IIIs that were on the GX prior showed even less wear over the same mileage. The KO3 seems like a great tire (albeit heavy), I don't doubt I'll try it out at some point.

That's the crossroads I was at. The only 255/85/17 is the Mickey Thompson, and going up to the 35x10.5s likely means some cutting/trimming/reworking of things to make it fit without issue. But agreed, I love skinny tires. The first set of them I had was 255/85/16 KM2s on a 4th gen 4Runner and it had me sold on them.

    Makes sense!

I will likely be joining the GX family soon because we’re planning on getting a ‘22 or ‘23 460 for the wife sometime in the next month or so. Your build has definitely been an inspiration along the way!

Thanks-- the GX is a great platform and going with the updated infotainment is definitely the way to go if you can swing it financially

Yeah that’s exactly why we’re looking at the 22’s and 23’s and not the 2021. Initially we were looking at the new Land Cruiser’s but they are way too expensive for what they are, in my opinion. I’d rather have the old reliable V8.

I think the price is justified for the 250, but that's a story for another day

Got the new wheel/tire setup on the GX. 255/80/17 Toyo R/T Trails and Pro Comp Heritage wheels. My favorite setup thus far at least on the looks front; should get a chance to test them off-road soon.

Initial on-road impressions are that the Toyos are slightly smoother and make the GX lighter on its feet. Bear in mind they need to break in, are a load range higher than the BFGs (E vs D), and I need to tinker with the PSI a bit, but very pleasantly surprised thus far. They're narrower but not drastically, and somehow it feels like there's less rolling resistance even despite the more aggressive tread pattern and higher load rating. So far so good.

Will post more pictures once the weather and my schedule cooperate.

It looks utilitarian!! Nice! What did you do with your 34's and Rims?

Thanks! Hope you get to see it sometime soon if not this weekend.

They're currently sitting in the garage, to be listed FS on here once I have the time/effort/it isn't 100 degrees in the garage

That looks fantastic. I have been tempted to go with a simpler wheel like those or something that looks like a steelie. I think it would look great with the flatbed.

Offroad I am super happy with my tires, been wheeling with guys with 35/37s this summer and the skinny 33's havent held me back at all.

Thanks Jack! I've come to love the old-school look on modern trucks and SUVs, help keep them feeling humble

I'll never pretend that 33s will keep up with 35s/37s but they'll do 90% of the stuff we typically run
