My opinion is that they’re likely best for someone who drives with the seat fairly far back. I.e. someone at least 6’0”. The seat track is at an angle so the farther forward you get, the higher you get. At 5’9”, I like leg support, but I want to then be able to lower the entire seat. The jury is still out on whether it’s better or worse for back comfort so I’ll run them a couple more weeks and decide.

YES YES YES YES YES!!! The seat jackers were the best mod to my truck for comfort. Sitting in my daughter's Taco (without seat jackers) is bad uncomfortable compared to mine (with the seat jackers).

It's a shame that as much as these trucks cost no matter the model, Toyota doesn't provide more adjustment controls on manual/non-power seats. Only fore/aft, recline, and basic lumbar on my 2018. No height adjustment. The passenger seat has even less with no lumbar adjustment.

I prefer a seating position a little higher in my truck vs. in my car to have an elevated view of what's in front of the hood.

I came across this thread and decided to order the jackers to get some height adjustment on the rear seat posts. We'll see.

Did 8,200 miles in 3 weeks last year on an Alaska roadtrip from SoCal. For me the Seat Jackers made a huge difference. I'm 6'3" on a good day.

Hated the OEM setup and it would kill me on my occasional 3-8 hour adventures. Installed a set and I LOVE THEM!

I was driving a company truck for the past couple of years and only recently started driving my truck every day again. Every time I get in the driver seat, I gotta put my chin to my chest to not hit my head on the top of the door opening. It finally dawned on me about a week ago that I put Jackaries in and it must be why I’m banging my noodle? Keep in mind I’m a large 5’10” model.

Absolutely! I bought the cheap generic ones off Amazon/ebay. My hips and legs feel so much better after the install. I was about to sell the truck the first week I had it due to this and poor acceleration and throttle response.

Seat jackers and OTT tune saved me from doing that.

This is quite literally the last/opposite thing you wanna ever want do. Ergonomics is making the job/environment/tool/equipment fit the person because if you do it backwards it’s quite proven to negatively impact the body, especially over time and repetition. If you compensating for lack of support for using your body to mend the gap it will cause deficiencies in other places that will, to be clear not maybe, lead to future injury. Rehabing an injury that’s been created over time by structural and muscular changes is fuckin hard.

At 5’8 these things made a huge difference even with the power seat. I bought the Desert Doest It version bc they’re only $100 and proven quality. I’d be cautious if you go with a knock off version bc your seat if very important in an accident. My two cents.

Design Does It seat jackers are worth it I’m a muscular 6ft and they are one of the best things I have put on my truck for long distance driving. Don’t go Amazon/Chinese junk give the American guy his money since he actually created them.

I've always felt these things were a solution looking for a problem. And to screw around with the seat configuration from a safety design perspective would also make me nervous. But then again, what the hell do I know!

I put seat jackers on my 2017 double cab SR5. If you are used to driving in the normal position, then it will take a few days of driving for you to get used to the new angle. I have muscular legs so i needed to adjust the steering column all the way up and set the magnified steering wheel to the closest position to the driver and it feels great. Completely worth it. Make sure you buy for both front seats or it will look funny since your driver seat angel will be higher than the passenger side. I bought some quality knock off seat jackers from ebay. You do not need to buy the over priced seat jackers from the brand. It will not interfere with any safety features of the stock seat position.

it’s not about the seat features, it’s more so the lack of QC in the Chinese metal, cheap roll pin and hardware in the event of an accident. Imagine you rear end someone and the seat bolts or roll pin shear off? No bueno. the DD are machined out of 1 solid piece of metal with tested hardware.

I love mine! Don't pay stupid money for a simple spacer. The bolts and seat belt is what keeps you in place.
