Thought I'd post my recent experience here in case it might help someone.

I bought a set of six injectors from MotorWest for my Tacoma 5VZFE and installed them myself in May 2023. Great price.

Over this 4th of July weekend the CEL came on. Misfire in cylinder 5. I put in a new plug. Immediately starts misfiring again.

Didn't feel like rooting around in the engine bay so I took the truck to my trusted Toyota mechanic. He said injector in 5 position is bad. Recommended an aftermarket option. I told him the one he removed was a reman. He said it broke into pieces when they removed it, and he never uses remans anymore after bad experiences.

If another of my MW injectors fails I'll probably replace them all. I'll decide aftermarket or factory if/when that time comes

    What are your thoughts?

I would believe the shop was a bit gorilla fisted before believing the injectors just fell apart.

Are factory Toyota not an option any longer? Denso?

https://theinjectorshop.com/ no idea on any injectors they sell, I've just bought replacement filter baskets from them.

I’d call MotorWest and talk to them. Too many good reviews out there on em (mine included) to not reach out to them and see what they say and they’ll likely make it right with you

Motorwest will probably take good care of you. I'm skeptical of the shop as well. It took a few times back and forth to get mine to seal up, there was never any indication that an injector was going to break.
