You could cut a slot in the end of the threads to make a channel for any remaining oil to drain.

Personally I would like the oil to flow slower. The last couple oil changes I did with 0W20, it made a huge mess because it flows too well when it's hot. It went into the oil catch pan and then jumped straight back out, making a mess of the skid plate and the floor. It was worse in my other car where I had to pull the plastic underbody panel with 16 plastic push pins and then cut out the oil soaked sound deadening material.

you missed the part where you carefully lay out cardboard to catch any overflow or splashes to avoid staining the garage floor.

instead, it will splash and bounce off the cardboard, go even further than expected, and then wick across the bottom of the protective cardboard everywhere.

Ive read that too but maybe that's been corrected and here's why I say that.

When I installed my Fumoto (last month), I had the factory drain plug out for, I don't know, 20 minutes or so, and the pan had slowed to a drip. I screwed in the Fumoto and opened it up. Well, it started dripping slowly just like it was prior to the install. So my conclusion was this was a non issue.

I would google torch and concrete before trying it yourself.

    Can have some bad results.

Professional auto shops get dirtier than anything and you won't see them doing this excrement. Just some internet BS. Cancel it.

Cheap kitty litter, then power wash it. Or scrub it with Dawn/Sam's Club dish soap, broom and hot water.

If you enjoy having flaming hot concrete chunks exploding in your face then go ahead and try it.
