Interesting. Rear door you ran a perimeter with gasket?

Surprised you had noise from the hood area.

Just where there are no factory gaskets. For example only the lower section on the front door, but on the rear door, I did the rear up and down section and the lower section. The lower section will also keep all the junk out of the lower sill.

I recall someone posting that the stripping does come standard on the Limited... but I have not checked personally.

"I have the doors lined with sound deadener and that changed nothing."

I like this data point. I put DynaMat on the doors of my 97 Tacoma and the only thing it did was make the doors feel heavier and more substantial.
It also made me realize that in a gun fight don't hide behind a door for protection. Myth Busters did a segment on that exact Hollywood trick.
In any case, I am always curious what seems to work and what does not. DynaMat is a lot of work.
I am still waiting for someone to toggle the active noise control with Carista to see if they hear a difference. I do not.
But then, I do not even know if I have ANC. All I know is that there is a Carista app toggle for it.

@Wahhabm Could you provide a parts number summary? I am sure others are interested in finishing their TRD OR.
Still blows my mind that Toyota didn't quite "finish" the OR's.

Hello. Silly question, how would I remove this trim piece to install the weather striping? I don't want to mess anything up. Thanks for any detailed advice!

If I remember correctly you have to pull up while pushing inwards as there is 2 areas where is grasps to the metal of the outer door skin. If you want to be more careful then remove the inner door cover and lower the window you would be able to see where those are grabbing.btemoving the inner door cover is not too hard. There are many posts regarding that.
