Do the bumper caps come color painted from the dealer?

Looking to repair or replace one of mine.

What color? Many aftermarket places that sell them can be purchased with OEM-matching color for about less.

 

Thanks for the replies. I might be able to just have it sanded and painted. It is a minor scape in the plastic with more minor scratches in the paint. I might as well see if I can get the old one painted if I have to paint the new one as well.

If you get the tech package with the backup sensors, then the caps come painted from Toyota (at least on the 2021, not sure if 2016 had different options). Otherwise, they are the standard chrome. Haven't needed to check if you can buy them individually though.

If you are considering doing this yourself; just grab a spray can of your color and start painting, after a bit of filling the scratches. Add a clear coat. If it doesn't work out for you then consider other options.

I went by the dealership to get a broken push-pin and asked if the caps came painted. They do and I'll be picking one up tomorrow for $138. Thanks again. EDIT...It turns out the cap was not painted after looking at it.

 

The shells just cover and snap over your existing OEM bumper caps, the standard chrome and other colored OEM bumper caps are bolted on.
