Woke up this morning and once I braked the abs and traction lights came on. Got the codes ready at o’reillys and it came out with C0205 for the LH front speed sensor and C1249 for an open circuit for the stop light switch. Wondering if it’s possible for the first to cause the second. I’m on a big road trip and wondering if there are any quick things I should try to help diagnose before I take it to the stealership. Thanks in advance

I wanted to check the two sides to see if they were receiving power, so I undid the two front connectors. They were both receiving power. Not a surprise given the code was for the drivers side only. So then it led me to want to check the drivers sensor. The broke the bolt off, so while I was quickly able to remove the speed sensor, it was a pain. It was covered in old grease, probably from me doing things I shouldn’t have when I was in there mucking around last time (adding grease where there shouldn’t be). I think that was when I did the needle bearing. And so I cleaned it up and replaced the o ring and put it back- after removing the rest of the bolt.

When reassembled, I now get P0504 brake switch correlation a/b

First easy step would be to make sure the brake lights work (this is just a step in the diag process)
If they work, the next "easy" step would be looking at the input signals with a scan tool. (STP and ST1- inputs)
It could be done with a multimeter, but it's a slow process. (kind of)
