    Thanks

Is this from the Tacoma? I found that number and my dealer said it was not available.

What number are you talking about? The switch part number? If so all parts are listed in first post to do the job.

Switch & harness have been ordered. Those who have done this have you tried to tap into the bed light switch next to it for the illumination power? If so do you have the pin illumination for that switch to tap into?

No I did not even try. My switch does not illuminate. TBH I actually never even use the switch to turn off the steps. I like not seeing the RC switch though and prefer the OE look.

I may fabricate a harness to borrow illumination power from the truck bed light switch (12 above) to illuminate the side step switch (as mentioned earlier in this thread). Do you have the connector part number for the connector to this switch, or better yet have you already done this and what parts did you need? Thank you.

I have the RC power steps installed. I got my cube switch from https://ch4x4.com/ and had my friend do the installation. Mine does not light up and I forget the reason why. He told me but it’s been a while now. It doesn’t bother me bc the only time I really hit the button is in winter with ice.

So I now an OEM switch illumination solution. Thanks to TacomaBob for the assist. The harness I used takes advantage of the Auto Hi Beam switch in the same cluster. The switch now integrates perfectly with the adjacent switches, illumination brightens and dims just as intended.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this forum. A good read and a great community.
