That's what I'm here for, the mods and the gear.
The overcast and fog made the pic look better than on a sunny day, in my opinion.

Relentless Fab hybrid bumper, 2.5” Dobinsons IMS lift, RCI skids and sliders, block heater. Painted FJ Steelies. Was trying to keep it stock, now slowly building for the Wisconsin trails.
That looks pretty awesome. The warning of no big bike go arounds has me thinking this isn't suitable for trucks.

After approximately 4,000 miles and lots of winging it, we've arrived in Anchorage!

It was certainly an adventure getting here. The Alaskan highway is smooth to a point, but right after Whitehorse to just before Anchorage, it's a beast. @Stoney Ranger you were absolutely correct on my suspension being tested. With the Yukon province not being wealthy by any stretch, hundreds of miles of road involve broken pavement, gravel, washboards, and severe dips. Most of the gas stations, homes, and small business along the road are abandoned and run down, giving it a very post-apocalyptic feel.

Once crossing Alaska, massive sections of road look like ocean waves from the severe permafrost...I bottomed out my suspension going 40 mph more than once on their 'highway'

@McSpazatron I made it unscathed, but I think a health check will be due. I burned just over 2 quarts of oil from Belgrade, MT (It holds about 10). Granted, a lot of that was extreme climbs/descents, but that's more than it should have burned off, in my opinion. There's also an engine oil leak coming from somewhere, to be determined. And yes, I dig the tent. Although, during the first wild camp in Canada, we experienced heavy rain and wind gusts of about 50 mph that snapped part of the internal framing in half. Thankfully, I've been able to brace it. Weather in the mountains changes on a dime.

All that to say...the landscape throughout has been stunning and the people we've met have been fantastic. The entire range of scenery is vast, beautiful, and daunting all at the same time.

    Photos for your viewing pleasure!

In Watson Lake, Yukon, there's a literal forest of signs and license plates from travelers all around the world. I happened to find some close to home.

I'm not sure. Some of the blue that goes through the Harrison Hills area by Gleason should be doable. We use to F around out there in H.S.
There are a lot of ski and atv trails out there too.

Come November when I go hunting I can go check out that portion.

I remember the road from the border to Fairbanks being epically bad! Had to slow way down. The Canadians used to take their time with roads and really fix the frost heaves. Might not be as easy now with the warming.

Him and Cyg191 got a 30 day vaca for showing their FJB badges on this site. Somebody didn't like the badges and made a report. Fk'n pussies.
If you could go 40 mph, your suspension is way better than my Dobi suspension. I'm sure the wheel base plays a part but 30 was the sweet spot for me.

Since the weather is kinda crappy and I can't do a whole lot yet. I decided to make some venison jurky in the dehydrator. Bacon Maple flavor.
Now I can go for walk.

I was debating leaving my front license plate there - it was definitely cool to see!
