Yep! I'd have to look acreage but they had a "Reserve" but it was only for military and DOD place you could hunt in Maryland their restriction was bow only and 3 point on one side. It was stupid because over the fence/property line they had a hunting property and it was anything goes as in if its brown its down....

No I haven’t, after giving it a lot of thought I just can’t justify paying 5-8k for a hunt. I’d probably give it more consideration if the hunting wasn’t so good around here. I have to admit, I’m pretty spoiled with the opportunities I have

For sure, if I could still get Idaho Muzzy tags for $3500 like we used to 10 years ago I would say let’s roll! But those tags are almost $20k now and they aren't shooting 200” Muleys like we used to they are pretty much happy if they get something upper 170’s. Whitetails out east seems like a better gig now days.

One of the things that turned me off on some of the outfitters that I was checking out is, they scale their prices, the bigger the animal the more they charge. The way I see it is, if you’re fair chase hunting which is the only way I hunt then, why should I pay more because I’m willing to wait for a bigger animal than someone else.

Land owner tags, used to be able to buy them for relatively cheap and skip the whole drawing process.

I guess I was thinking about the experience of something different but if other outfitters are like the ones around here, that’s an experience I can do without.

If you decide you want the experience I could give you some areas in the wilderness that you could go explore with a general season tag. 15 miles to get in there big high country glacial basins, might not see a buck or might kill a 200” buck. It’s an experience non the less but it’s an ass kicker.
