Truck finally rolled out of the garage under it's own power right before vacation.

The majority of the time was getting this how I wanted it to be.

[IMG]Untitled by MJH Creations, on Flickr

I took the plasma, cut two pieces of 1/8" and wrapped them around the drain hole bump. I fully welded it all and then ground it all flush.

[IMG]Untitled by MJH Creations, on Flickr

Now I have no leaks and a smooth and thicker bottom.

I also wasted time on this to make a dumb joke on the internet about having a Temu Diamond axle... worth it.

[IMG]Untitled by MJH Creations, on Flickr

I also got the passenger side bearing in and backing plate assembled, glad I keep my makeshift tools from other times I have done the job.

Swapped all the shit to the new tank:

[IMG]Untitled by MJH Creations, on Flickr

I also used this opportunity to freshen up a bunch of stuff with PC.

Gas tank skid, jerry can carrier, e locker guard and exhaust bezel all got done.

[IMG]Untitled by MJH Creations, on Flickr

Brakes got all new hardware, adjusters, drums, shoes and wheel cylinders.

[IMG]Untitled by MJH Creations, on Flickr

[IMG]Untitled by MJH Creations, on Flickr

[IMG]Untitled by MJH Creations, on Flickr

    Final results all assembled:

    So new parts/mods are:

    New gas tank
    Powdercoated gas tank skid

    Powdercoated elocker guard
Powdercoated jerry can carriers and added rubber for tighter fit/less wear
Powdercoated tailpipe, bezel and adjusted the exhaust to have more poke

Skinned and sealed the bottom of the diff
    TG stud elim kit
    2 bolts added for drainage
    Fresh diff fluid

Rear, both sides - Drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, spring hardware, star adjusters, and adjuster levers.
Rear passenger only - Wheel bearing, axle studs, backing plate, and dust seal.

I have a smaller list of minor projects/fixes/cleanup I have ahead of me that I'll write out another night to have it somewhere else besides my notes app.

It's been a minute since I have updated this thread. Truck has been performing well with no major issues. Got shit news in March that my son was diagnosed with Leukemia so most of life has been spent navigating that. We have been doing the best we can to get him out camping and enjoying life to the fullest though. Photo dumps:

Snapped a CV on a climb I have done with no issues twice before but apparently was slick af in the spring.

I really appreciate all the kind words everyone. He is a strong little dude and CHOP has been amazing, literally one of the best in the country for this so we are thankful to be close to it.

Actual build things did happen though, the STT Pro's are mounted and flex nicely.

[IMG]Untitled by MJH Creations, on Flickr

And I finally installed my Cascadia 4x4 VSS setup, and built a quick bracket to mount it over the charcoal canister.

I converted my gravity fed jerry can to a new system called H2GO that uses a 12v plug to power the pump in the can. It's nice not needing to pressurize the can and I am working on creating a faster setup time for it too.

I did the ball chiller mod using a used 4runner duct and a new vent from toyota.

Some garage mods, I got a free shelf form a neighbor so I then got a 3/4" plywood sheet and cut it up and painted it to organize the garage better. The biggest thing is to get the t cases/diffs and other heavy things off the ground. Garage organization is still in progress though since I am in the middle of the Bronco Broverland build too.

I also fixed the light in this sign that I bought years ago and failed.

Overall solid progress. Once the Bronco is put back together I am probably going to try to focus on further garage organization, and trying to commit to getting the Tacoma windshield replaced, tint done, better fridge and pump wiring, and maybe trying to finally finish the bed rack to get the cover on. That or finally install the NWF case and 5th gear swap parts that have been sitting collecting dust for 2 years.

i was so glad to be off the STT pros as they were wearing out. they got very loud on the highway and wouldnt wear evenly on the lugs without frequent rotations. just fyi

Ha yeah it seems to be a weird Cooper thing, my MT Maxx's got the same towards the end. Thankfully my tires last a while on this truck since it's not my daily, My ST Maxx's got installed in 2016 and still had a little life left. Maybe by year 5 I will finally have installed sound deadening in the truck :p

I used a window washer pump to pump water from my Jerry can. It's been working great! Nice to be able to stash the can somewhere out of the way and just have the hose and switch handy.
