I recently replaced the driver door lock assembly (power locks) on my 2001 TRD PreRunner. In fact, I have now done all 4 doors - thanks Toyota, but I guess 20+ years is not too bad.
My problem now, the door locks all work, lock and unlock, from outside the truck, but the buttons at all 4 doors on the inside will not lock or unlock and the window buttons are not working. My gut tells me that maybe the connection to the door control panel for the locks and windows came unplugged or was never plugged back in, but the side mirror automatic adjusters are working. Before I crack open the door again, I was wondering if anyone else has seen this, or can validate any thinking here or provide a potential solution.
    Thanks in advance!

Reporting back just in case someone runs into this issue. As I thought, the cable had disconnected. I only had to pop out the button control panel on the door, plug it back in and everything worked.

On another vehicle make I also had to work on my windows. I replaced just the motors which at the time were available online.
