Passenger Rear Bottom Shock Bolt Loose But Seized?

    If thats what the kids are calling "mall crawlin" these days, then ya! Done a fair bit.

    In all seriousness, I did live down a gravel road for at least 8 or 9 of those months, have taken the truck on some forrest roads hunting and stuff. My theory is that since the passenger side shock bracket faces forward and not rearward, my front tires were slingin rocks and dirt and all kinds of junk in there and prematurely wore it out. That's why the paint is all chipped off and its rusty on that side and not the driver side.

    So what’s the size for those? I keep seeing they’re a 14mm but the head of mine is a 17mm wrench so I’m honestly confused. I have the same issue and I’m just going to cut them and get grade 8 bolts

    When you see a size such as "M12" or "M14" that refers to the diameter of the bolt itself (the threaded portion).

    The bolt head will always be larger hence why an M17 socket fits over an M14 bolt.

    So M14-2.0 x 70mm or 75mm hex bolt according to chat gpt. You guys still use a step bolt or a straight m14?

    Part numbers are in the first page.

    If you have the bolt on your vehicle, you could opt to take it out and measure it and buying an equivalent at a hardware store.

    I'm having this problem on my 2015, passenger side lower shocks bolt is seized but if you bounce on the rear of the truck the bolt and nut move in the mount. I can get a wrench and turn the bolt, the nut is just seized so I can't tighten or loosen.

    I'm on day three of hitting it with pb blaster, but figured I go ahead and order a new nut and bolt. I'm now worried the mount may be wallowed since the bolt has vertical movement. What's the fix if the mount it wallowed out?

    EDIT
    Did some googling and looks like you can buy the mounts to weld on. Looks like there's even kits to swap to a 12in shock which could be cool
