Bad door check and small crack in door

    Update: I got the new door check and hardware in and I installed it with two m6 washers on that bottom stripped out hole. Glad to say, it works and I didn't pay the outrageous body shop price. It seems sturdy and I don't notice any difference with the washers in there. Hoping it does not give out down the road.

    Mazel Tov OP! It sure if refreshing to see someone these days not afraid to apply a non-conventional repair when it makes sense. Back in the 70's, my Toyo truck was held together by this type of patchwork repair! I predict your fix will more than outlive your ownership of the truck.
