    Went to Vancouver
OTW from the airport to town, saw like a 16yr old Asian chick driving a McLaren . . . saw some fantastic super cars on that trip
The amount of $$ [and not] was astounding
Food was great - best breakfast food ever

Cops were friendly and kept the drug addicts from getting run over, but also did not arrest them for shooting up on the sidewalks so IDK

But yea, rainy and cold - not my kinda weather, like even in the summer, it is cold . . . I don't get that one at all

The one thing I did note about both cities, there were less chain stores and more small shops [think appliance/normal home goods/food]
I did appreciate that, a lot
Everything here gets so homogenized to a large degree, not always for the best

So I have a propane furnace, that shit ain't cheap in the winter . . .
    BUT
It heats sooo much better than electric - knocks the chill outta the air ASAP

My neighbor just replaced his and he thought about heat pumping it, but it would have meant upgrading the electrical to some signifigant degree. He is an electrical superintendent and he didn't wanna bother/or pay for whatever that meant. He just replaced his unit with another A/C + Furnace combo and went from 40K BTU to 60K BTU without having to upgrade any of the infrastructure part [eg electrical/gas lines].
The extra electrical wasn't something I had thought about.
He was just on the hook for the unit price [probly at a discount] - his employer is an HVAC contractor as well so he was able to do the install with a work buddy and not void the warrant stuffs. He is a smart dude, scary smart.

Mine is 18yr old and still kicking it fine. I know it won't last forever but trying to keep it happy for as long as possible.
New shit seems to be made like shit, and I don't wanna deal with that shit LOL
