I want to know if there's a way to change my window switch.... currently it only has automatic down and not automatic up if possible, I would like to get one that does both.

I’ve never seen one with automatic up, but who knows.

Auto up was never an option on 2nd gens, just driver's front auto down.
Some people have had luck with 3rd party chineseum switches that have an auto up feature but YMMV.

Speed isnt the point. Manual or auto is the same.

Convenience is the motive. (And maybe a bit of that's cool because others don't have that)

These are available for the 2012-2015 double cab (four door), it comes with switches for both front doors. They are aftermarket and I can't speak for long term quality, but they are working well for me and others here have said the same. Note - I had an LED go out on the passenger door switch and they were responsive and replaced it quickly with no hassle.

    This gives me:
Auto up/down for all four window from the driver's seat
Auto up/down for the front passenger from their seat
No change for rear passenger switches - no auto up/down from the rear passenger seats

I have had mine for 18 months and like the subtle change. Plug n play, no cutting or wire modification necessary, perfect fit, easily reversable to go back to stock.

I'm curious how that works? Does the switch merely send a signal for X number of seconds that corresponds to how long the window on average takes?

Or does the factory wiring actually communicate back/forth about whether the motor is at the end of its travel?

Most older systems use current sensing, when the motor stalls at the end of travel the current spikes and the circuit turns off, they often have to be relearned after a battery disconnect.

Newer systems use an encoder on the window motor in addition to current sensing.

The cartrimhome full-auto switches for both front doors might be the happiest mod I've made to my 2015 DC. Highly recommended.

    Got mine from Amazon:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BX99563H

It’s a switch panel from a tundra but it’s plug and play for my 2015. If you look around there are a few options. FWIW, this is the second unit I’ve ordered. The first didn’t work for anything but the driver’s window. Not sure if it was a defective unit (different seller/ different product), or if there was an actual difference in part numbers. There are also dofferent versions with colored leds in the switches (blue/green/white, etc). One of those things that I didn’t think I needed in the 10 years of ownership, but makes a small difference in convenience and wish I’d gotten it sooner.

I ordered this listing on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/404458151829 its likely the same as the cartrim version. I only paid $32 last summer but I returned it as I found that it will save an auto up input when the windows are locked and then apply it when the windows are unlocked. I didn't want to risk my dog getting the window rolled up on her sinch there is no sensor in the rear or passenger windows.
