Tire cleaner

Hey group.
What you all using for tire cleaning.
I have this nasty brown film on my tires that won’t come off with normal car wash solution. It’s not break dust. I suspect my tire shine residue. I currently using Armor All gloss tire shine.

Yup. AA causes that brown stuff.


For me, I don't put anything on and am happier with the natural look of rubber.

 

I use Bleche-Wite. It's Great for white letters but it also gets any brake dust off of the tires and the brown stain off of the tires. If you look at the picture I posted yesterday of my truck you can see how black my tires are. I spray it on each tire then I high pressure wash them and high pressure rinse them at the car wash. I dont put any tire shine on my tires since I live on a dirt road and I spend alot of time out scouting for animals and hunting.

 

It may be the tire shine, but it's more likely to be a combination of that, coupled with tire blooming.
An inherent characteristic of what I assume is every tire on the market.
Certainly every tire I've owned.

I spray on Meguiar’s wheel tire cleaner.

After letting it sit, I use a soapy mit on the wheels and a soft bristle tire brush on the tires.

Carpro ReTyre works well but is a bit expensive.
Aero Cosmetics Rubber Care is a good product for once you've cleaned off the brown.

 

Armor all is absolute trash. I used Super Clean foaming degreaser with a brush attachment on a drill. Spray, brush, wipe with rags, or rinse with water.

 

This stuff has been around for years and really works! But it is some nasty stuff to work with so hold your nose.

 

If you're going to keep dressing your tires, try Meguiar's Hyper Dressing. You have to order it (Ive never seen it on any store shelves) and it is water based. You can mix 1:1 or 4:1 or whatever fancy's you, super wet look or a matte look. Easy to clean your tires too when it's time for the next bath. Oh yeah, I use Simple Green and pressure washer to clean my tires.

 

I stopped using tire dressing a few years back. I prefer the matte non greasy sheen and most of that stuff attracts dirt and brake dust. The Adam's tire and rubber cleaner I linked along with that detail factory tire brush are the best products on the market for cleaning off tire bloom.
