Right on. We’re gonna plan another trip for Acadia that’s not during the 4th of July weekend and other coastal towns without our dogs (even though I’ve heard they’re very dog-friendly. Our dogs aren’t very other dog-friendly). And, I’d like to be in a state a little cleaner than having camped for two weeks with minimal cleaning/personal care/laundry. #slumbum

Ha. I have this in my Etsy cart rn. Been debating getting it or not. Thought it was pretty funny considering all the hate non-pro users get for installing pro grilles and whatnot. Lol. The 'RTRD' one gave me a laugh too..
There's actually quite a bit of cool stuff for our trucks on Etsy not found elsewhere tho! Have nearly $300 worth of more stuff in my cart.

It is what it is. Cheapest dealership price I’d seen, plus maintains my warranty. I don’t regret it.

My 270 awning showed up today and I got the front bumper mostly installed.
Still need to trim the fender liners and aim all the lights.

There are only two real reasons to lift a 2WD truck. Full Pre-Runner build or to save money. Hear me out here. Many moons ago, my wife was part of a play group for our grom. All the little snooty girls had fancy cars. Navigators, Excursions, Audi wagons, etc. My wife has a Chrysler Cirrus at the time. (Don't ask. We had just bought a new home and the deal was real.) Anyway, she wanted a big lifted $WD truck and hated the seafoam green rental car. So we got her a truck. A 2WD Dodge Ram 5.7. But, we had just bought a house. Expenses were high. So no big factory lift penis extension. And I refused to pay the insurance on a 4WD that would never see dirt or towing or anything. She wanted it big and all 80's style and finally wore me out. So I put a 6" Fabtech Lift and a 3" body lift on it. Big flares, tires, Prerunner bumper. Big KC's...etc. It was everything she wanted and I knew it would never see more than the preschool parking lot. She loved that truck and I loved my sanity. It did come in quite handy during some flooding we had. It was fun to shoot rooster tails with it while saving her play group friends from thier flooded properties around the neighborhood. lol

I changed the air filter after 50k miles... Decided to try the new k&n extended life filter. If nothing else it matches the truck. I've always had a cold air kit with a washable filter so i'll blame that on why i didn't replace it sooner. Also it looked/felt like it was barely dirty.

Did some projects under the hood…and in the front quarter panel. :sawzall:

Noco battery charger and under-hood lighting switch (3D-printed mount and switch sold by @switch):
    IMG_2864.jpg

Noco charger port on the driver’s side front quarter panel. Nothing says “I’m owning this truck for the long-haul” like a 2” hole saw!
    IMG_2865.jpg

    Under hood LED lighting strip:
    IMG_2863.jpg

…which, sadly, doesn’t like to stick very well:
    IMG_2872.jpg

I’ll probably re-apply it with 3M two-sided automotive trim adhesive strips, unless anyone here has a better recommendation.

Kermit turned to the dark side. Just threw the Wranglers back on the new wheels as they only have 7000 miles on them. Gotta love the Toyota 4th of July sale. $1000.00 all in.

Cleaned the MAF sensor and Throttle body. Not too dirty for 58K miles. I’ve done the throttle body at 30K before.
Spark plugs coming up soon…along with the rest of 60K maint.
