I've seen the videos of you, Richy and Mike @littlefish , going down it and going through there. We have only gobe up it and never down it due to the drop off at the top (plus it is way too washed out more at the top that it literally is a cliff now lol). Someone, last year, came up mama bear and hit that rock to the point of not being lodged in the side anymore. Nothing like moving a 500-600lb rock into a place where you can't move it back.

    Good morning.

Too soon to talk about another mod day?

Off-roading this past Saturday made me realize that I need to get off my butt and get to work on the truck.

Me too, I’m in. Developed a nasty squeak in my Lca’s only to find that new delrin bushings are on back order.
Any dates or timeline you’re looking at?

Also not too soon to talk about another day on the trails. Talked with a Jeep creep that recommended Plymouth nh for some good trails.

I work this Saturday the 19th and every other Saturday so I have to see if I have the day off if we decide on a day.
Plymouth? 4 hour drive for me.

I’m open to suggestions and willing to drive. There’s not a lot around.
Maybe we could plan a Jersey trip soon but same idea. Everyone on the northern side has a 4 hour ride.

I would love to get a group of 3-5 to old Florida road and give it a try

Either or. 4 hours is probably my limit.

As far as mod day. August 23rd? It's a Saturday that I don't work and I took Monday the 25 off. The 26th is my birthday (a Tuesday which I don't work) so I have a 4 day weekend.
Or would that be better as an off-road day seeing how far out it is? Maybe a mod day before that weekend?

I'm just throwing dates out there. I realize some people prefer a different day.

I'm in Connecticut. I've got nothing, unless you like hiking.

Thanks! Waiting to hear how long it’ll be. I may just grab a set of 3rd gen lowers and call it a day. Need to see if there’s any other options.

That weekend Aug 23 would be a good one, before labor day weekend so it won't be bananaland.

Looking at the calendar - yeesh. Labor day is EARLY this year. First Monday is Sep 1st. But that weekend the 23 would be good, it's a good split off the NMW trip so it's not the weekend directly after. I'm in, but I'm out for bringing my truck on the trails unless it's RI or NJ.

I think we could do a split 3 bears and VW hill trip maybe, do the first half of 3 bears and then skip the sketchy bridge section. There's that road that crosses before the sketchy bridge section, bang a left there and head out to VW hill. Would be a lot of pavement, might make sense to air back up at least partially, could be annoying. Just a thought.

I think we should run vw then see if we want to do any of 3 bears. Might not make sense route wise but we all want to get out to VW

3 bears in reverse after VW hill could be cool.
We'd have to coordinate meet up spots and ride-alongs differently but it's not rocket surgery.

No go for me in August (family vacation for a week so that is probably eating up my fun time) but come September/October I would *love* to do a VW Hill run

:bananadance: You're on my way up, we can make that work.

    Drats.

September could be good, October is kind of shenanigans. AOAA being the weekend after Columbus Day this year throws a wrench in that, because the weekends before and after are probably ones that people won't want to go far for, then it's Halloween the weekend after that trailing weekend.

But anyway, that's a good time to go up there, as long as it isn't raining, it's a good sweatshirt trip instead of being moist in sweat all day.
