Unknown lift, maybe 2" I don't know how to ID it, and would rather set it back to stock.

I just had my blower motor recall done at a service center. They had to keep my truck overnight to do this recall! Seems like BS to me.

Should I be worried? Hopefully they were just that busy and didn’t disassemble the entire dash.

It's a quick job. Most likely they were simply backed up, or didn't have the part yet. If they were to be getting into something deeper than just the Service Bulletin, they would have notified you for authorization/approval.

I can replace one of those fan units in less than 20 minutes.

IMO, even if theres a recall/TSB for blower motor, its such an inexpensive and easy fix i didn't even bother with going to my dealer to have them say "couldn't duplicate" and waste hours of my day. I ordered online for roughly $40-50? (been a few years since i bought i can't recall how much exactly), swapped it out in 10 mins and life moved on

Put running boards on so I could get up into the dang thing.
I never heard about the recall, and my blower motor didnt fail until 2024, so its probably not related. But I went all winter without fixing it, because I couldnt get that panel under the glove box off. Contrary to reports here and elsewhere, it was NOT attached just with pop-off clips. The damn thing was bolted on in some weird way Ive not encountered in any video or TW discussion. I just got disgusted and abandoned the task. So I'm gonna give it another try, as it's warming up and it's gonna get hot in there soon.

Its 3 little bolts and 1 electrical connector to get the blower out. It takes all of 40 seconds. What issue are you all having?
This is literally the simplest job other than swapping the cabin air filter.

Well, my buddy got it off, along with the airbag, so Im kinda anxious about that hanging there. Im trying to replace the resistor first, to see if that does the job. At the moment, Ive got the resistor out, but I see no damage to the connector/harness on either side. No burn, melt, discoliration to speak of. Is that even possible, to have a burnt resistor with no harm to the harness?

17436378044278815857454363316570.jpgBut this little gizmo coming from the resistor that plugs into the blower motor is clearly burnt. Havent seen that mentioned anywhere. Maybe that can be replaced? The female end doesnt show any damage, but Im guessing this is where I have to accept that the blower motor has to be replaced too, not just the resistor.
